Could someone explain to me how in the whole wide world the takedown of the terrorist on the Detroit flight can be called a success of the safety program? If the bomb hadn't malfunctioned and the other passengers hadn't intervened, the plane would have exploded. The flippin' security screenings detected nothing, even though it has been published that the bomb ingredients are easily detected.
