Here's the latest meme I've seen online (I got this from LawDog):
Okay, here goes:
As far as tagging five people, I can't choose. Tag yourselves, please. I've got to get back to work. My final assignments are due in 24 hours, 4 minutes, and I've not finished them yet. See ya.
1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages or more.
2. Find page 123.
3. Find the first five sentences.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
Okay, here goes:
"Someone turned the earth upside down. The air had to move somewhere else to make room," Two Petals declared as she stared up at the great mound jutting into the sky atop the Cahokia bluff. The slanting sides of earth rose to a dizzying height, the building high atop the great mound looking small, the palisade like fuzz along the mound's lip. That may sound a little strange, out of context like that, but this series of books about the First North Americans is the latest in a long line of fabulous books by the Gears. They have really done a lot of work in Indian archaeology and history, and each book is a delight to read. This one is about the Indians of the area around the headwaters of the Mississippi River. I'm planning to read it while on break between classes.
