Is everybody enjoying March Madness as much as I am? Of course, I can say that because the team I picked is still in it. Go Memphis!! On the other hand, I'm sorry Davidson was beaten, especially by Kansas (ptooey!)
Welcome to all my visitors today! I had no idea. I'd been averaging a mere 8-10 readers per day lately, and felt lonely. I used to have more when I could blog regularly, but since school started I've been hit and miss. Again, welcome. Come back when you can... you never know when I'll post something fairly interesting.
It was an amazing journey to behold. I visited the wonderful Cassy Fiano, and she had the cuss-o-meter there. She got it from the queen of costumed doggies Rachel Lucas, who got it from the inimitable Brett, who got it from MMEEEEEEEE!! I promise, you guys, I'm gonna update my blogroll. Really. You are all great!

One more post, then I'm done for now. Seriously. My doctor called and wants me to go to an internist, because my LFTs are higher now than they were in January, and they were elevated then. So I've got an appointment on the 22nd to see an internist (I started to type internet... silly me). I can't imagine why the levels are elevated now. I haven't changed my medications or my diet at all. So keep your fingers crossed for me, if you aren't a praying sort. If you are, a mention would be appreciated here.
Bet this really freaked you guys out. Here I am, blogging twice in the same week! Just taking a break. I've got a paper due on Sunday that I've not started yet. I don't know why, but it seems that about the 4th or 5th week of class, no matter how much I enjoy it, I get lazy and don't want to do the work. Then I snap out of it, and finish strong. This is the 5th week, so I guess I'll be back to my over-achieving self next week. I really want to get my GPA back up above 3.5 this time. Those algebra classes killed me!!
All Right!! Who's Been Cussing??

Seriously, I'm surprised it's that high. I wonder what they consider cuss words?

While I'm thinking about it, I will post one more tidbit of information on the Obama "speech" from Tuesday. He made his glorious presentation while we were at the hospital. First time I'd seen cable in many months, and I was stuck watching his explanation. Anyway, while I'm sitting with Sir Mugley in recovery, there are about six people in the room, representing at least three different racial makeups, and Every. Single. Person. said, "He's toast." Take it as you will.
Just so you'll know, I'm still in school. About half way through this block of classes, and it is so much better than last time. This time I have Cost Accounting and Supervision & Management. Could do without the second one but so far my past experience OTJ has gotten me through it. But I am loving the accounting! I only wish I had gone on to college after high school and gotten into this sooner.
I hope everyone is having a glorious beginning to spring. I've been outside a couple of days this week. Tuesday I had to drive to Joplin in the pouring rain to take Sir Mugley for his colonoscopy. Then Thursday it was my turn to go to the doctor. Living in the sticks can be a wonderful thing: quiet, peaceful. Rarely hear a siren, more likely to hear birds singing. Fresh air. You can sit outside without worrying about getting shot. On the other hand, you have to deal with disappearing doctors. It seems like every time I get a doctor trained, they leave and I have to break in a new one. This was my second visit to this doctor. She's pretty good, but she doesn't like to prescribe pain medication. This is gonna be fun. Believe me, I don't like to take pain medication; I do what I have to do to get by. My darling husband can attest to the fact that I have a high threshhold for pain; I didn't yell once either time I was in labor. So when I have to take a pain pill, you can bet it's pretty bad. I have to take a pain pill about twice a day. Not some little Tylenol or Motrin crap either; I'm on hydrocodone tablets. I've tried using lesser meds, but they rarely work. I don't take pills unless I really need them. It's just going to take some time to make her understand that. Otherwise she's pretty cool about stuff. She is running more blood work though; said my liver function tests were a little high. We'll see how that goes. Just what I need right now... another medical problem.
I don't think I'm going to comment much on Obama and his "minister", but I must say this: if he thinks I'm going to believe he couldn't change churches, he's nuts. There are more than 12 different United Church of Christ congregations in Chicago alone. Are you telling me he couldn't find one a little less radical? I'm going to leave it at that. Those who, like me, believe his little speech was a gigantic crock of you-know-what are not going to change their minds, and those who swallowed it like the great fish swallowed Jonah are not going to change their minds. Those in-between are not going to listen to any of this anyway. I guess I'm getting too cynical in my old age.
