Peter Jennings has been diagnosed with lung cancer, and will be starting chemotherapy soon. In his absence, the news will be anchored by Charles Gibson and Elizabeth Vargas. I pray his recovery is as pain-free as possible.

It is sad to hear about Peter Jennings illness. I have never been an ABC News fan but my prayers go out to him and his family through this ordeal. I have to admit though I am shocked by his replacement. Doesn't Regis get ALL the job openings?
