So, President Bush has announced some more picks for Cabinet posts. He has chosen Bernard Kerik, former police commissioner in New York City, to replace Tom Ridge at Homeland Security. He also chose Nebraska Governor Mike Johanns as Agriculture Secretary, another excellent choice. So far, so good.
In other news, John Danforth as resigned as U.N. Ambassador after a mere six months on the job. It's his intention to retire as of January 20, to live in peace with his wife. He did say he would be available for short term projects.
