Confession time. I watch soap operas. It's something I started doing as a kid. I got totally hooked on Dark Shadows (Barnabas was so cool!) Anyway, I currently watch two: Days of our Lives and Passions. On Passions, there is a character named Alistair Crane, who is the nastiest piece of work God ever breathed life into. You know the type. The man who so vividly played this role, David Bailey, died on Thanksgiving Day, apparently of drowning in his swimming pool. Yet the character lives on, because they tape several weeks in advance. It is so surreal to see the character, knowing he's dead, and hear him say things like, "But I'm not dead yet" and "No one can kill me." Just thought I'd put that out there. For the record, the character is supposed to be killed before the end of the month, but come back to life (that happens a lot on these soaps) through witchcraft. It just seemed freaky to me.
