A group of international scientists have determined the Top 10 Sci-Fi Films of all time. They have chosen Blade Runner as #1, with 2001: Space Odyssey #2. Check out the entire list, and let me know if you would change it.

Hiya Granny! Twenty people can see the same movie and have different impressions.
All on that list are good sci-fi but...... I liked "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", the original as well as the remake. Blade Runner, Alien et al, Matrix....all offered someting different, maybe even stretching a bit to be categorized as sci-fi. Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind...yeah, engrossing, but, Predator is enthralling. Maybe it depends on whether what you're watching is something you can identify with that determines if you like it. More viewers can relate to Close Encounters than Predator.
